1. Data Processing Architecture (Client-Side Only)

Unlike traditional web applications that upload user files to remote servers for processing, EcomToolsHub operates entirely via client-side JavaScript, Web Workers, and HTML5 Canvas APIs.

• CSV Files & Catalogs: When using the Shopify CSV Cleaner, your spreadsheet is parsed in local memory using JavaScript FileReader and PapaParse. It never touches our server.
• Images: When using the Aspect-Ratio Normalizer, photos are rendered onto HTML5 Canvas in local RAM and exported directly to your computer.
• Financial & Fee Inputs: Numbers entered into our profit calculators are processed instantaneously via client-side arithmetic.

2. Regional Market Detection & Localization (Zero IP Geolocation Tracking)

To automatically deliver accurate currency symbols, statutory tax thresholds, and carrier dimensions, our application performs lightweight, 100% client-side locale sniffing:

• No Remote IP Lookups: We do not log, track, or send your IP address to third-party geolocation databases.
• Local Browser APIs: Detection runs purely within your local browser using standard JavaScript APIs (Intl.DateTimeFormat().resolvedOptions().timeZone and navigator.language).
• Purpose of Localization: Used solely to pre-select relevant regional rules (e.g., UK £135 IOSS thresholds, EU 14-day statutory return rights, US 139 shipping divisors, or India COD RTO freight models). You can switch or override your region at any time using the header country bar.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or persistent user identifiers. We utilize standard browser localStorage exclusively for non-personally identifiable operational preferences:

• Market & Currency Preference: Storing your selected country and currency code (ecom_selected_country, ecom_currency_code, ecom_currency_symbol) locally so you do not need to reconfigure your workspace on repeat visits.
• Theme Mode: Saving your preference for Light or Dark mode.
• Custom Warehouse Boxes: Storing custom carton dimensions you define locally in the Multi-Item Box Sizer.
• URL Hash State: Generating shareable URL hashes (e.g. saving calculator parameters) directly in your browser address bar.

4. Third-Party Links & Partner Integrations

Our website may contain contextual links or banners to third-party software tools (e.g., Shopify, Katana, Klaviyo). When you click an external link, you are directed to that third party's website, which maintains its own independent privacy policy and tracking practices.
